Civil Department
Managing the records of civil litigation, family law, and dispute resolution for [PARISH NAME] Parish.
The Civil Docket
The Civil Department processes filings for lawsuits where the dispute is between private parties, rather than a criminal offense against the state.
Our Deputy Clerks are responsible for maintaining the integrity of the court record from the initial petition to the final judgment. We handle a wide variety of cases, including damages, contract disputes, name changes, and family matters.
Legal Advice Warning
While we are happy to assist with procedure and fees, Clerk of Court staff are not attorneys and cannot give legal advice or help you fill out legal forms. Please consult an attorney for legal guidance.
